Would you like to cross-country ski at another ski area this winter? Then try Karhu Ski Trails, in Nipigon, of all places... only an hours drive from Thunder Bay.

You'll be absolutely amazed at this one man operation. Seppo Osala, originally from Dorion, has cut and maintained these beautiful ski trails over the past eleven years. The trails themselves are very high quality. Extremely wide and smooth, with lots of beautifully flat section, great for practising your one skate or tricky little corners and downhills, for the expert skier who likes a bit of a challenge.

Directions to Karhu Ski Trails:
Drive to Nipigon. Turn right immediately after the tourist centre or just before the Husky Truck Stop onto Maatta's Road. Exactly 1 km on your left you should see the Karhu sign.

Ammenities:
Sauna with pail shower is available, on request.
Change and warm-up trailer.

Daily trail fee: $10.00

Note: It takes the same time to drive to Nipigon as it does to Sibley.
